An interesting geographical location in the middle of the Adriatic coast, surrounded by national parks and nature parks, a yearlong tradition in tourism, and rich tourist, culture, sports and gastronomic offer, to name just a couple of reasons that make Biograd a perfect choice as a starting point for an interesting and dynamic vacation.

Owing to its position on the most indented part of the Croatian Adriatic coast, this area, unlike other parts of the Mediterranean, offers excellent possibilities for nautical tourism and navigation.  Three national parks Paklenica, Kornati archipelago and Krka as well as nature parks Telaščica and Vransko jezero are located in the immediate vicinity.

Second to its cultural and historical heritage, Biograd is also renowned for its lovely beaches, picturesque bays and various accommodation options. The town boasts a variety of restaurants offering local and international cuisine.

he largest natural lake and one of the largest wetland areas in the Mediterranean part of Croatia. A refuge of endangered birds, and a wintering site for approximately one hundred thousand water birds. A lake paradise for anglers and cyclists, separated from the sea by a narrow limestone ridge. It is a special feeling indeed, to see so much diversity of waters at such a small distance. The sea right next to the lake? Or is it the lake right next to the sea? The description depends on which of those two forms of blue you prefer

We might call it the Magnificent Seven: Bilušića buk, Brljan, Manojlovac, Rošnjak, Miljacka slap, Roški slap and Skradinski buk. These are the tufa cascades of the Krka River – for many, the most beautiful blue line of the Dalmatian karst. Gorgeous cascades and thick, rich sound of life given by water. In many of its parts, the Krka’s flow is calm, and its cascades are announced by “silver necklaces” – increasingly thick rippling of water, the color of which turns silver, resembling countless necklaces scattered on the river. All that silver will eventually splash over the cascades, and beauty will obtain a completely new form

The Kornati archipelago – a labyrinth of stone, with eighty nine islands, islets and rocks in the sea. It is the most indented island group in the Mediterranean. Regardless of whether you look at the Kornati Islands from the air, from the sea, or from sightseeing points on the islands, the view is equally impressive – and yet different to the eye every single time.  Dry stone walls on the Kornati Islands are silent and steadfast witnesses to hard work on modest soil on stone surrounded by crystal-clear sea.

Adriatic cliffs 162 meters high dive into the blue sea. Common bottlenose dolphins, the last marine mammals of the Adriatic, have chosen Telašćica as their favorite gathering place, swimming in pods and providing visitors with a splendid photo opportunity on top of what is an unforgettable moment anyway. Just as you watch them, you might miss a peregrine falcon that flew off from the cliff at that very moment. It is impossible to capture the totality of beauty of Croatia’s most beautiful and largest Adriatic bay, Telašćica. Numerous coves, capes and rocks, and the safest harbor for those who sail – that is Telašćica.

SOLINE BEACHThe city’s main beach is 350 meters below the Adria Hotel, surrounded by a pine forest. This pebble-sandy bay is popular for families with children because of the long shallows and the gradual entry into the sea. The bay is surrounded by catering and entertainment facilities. Next to it there is a beach volleyball court, showers and changing cabins.

DRAŽICA BEACH Further on the beach Soline along the promenade towards the city there is a pebble bay Dražica with numerous facilities such as cafes, snack bars and souvenir stalls. There are also services available such as outdoor massage, animation for children, rental of pedal boats, scooters and boats. On the beach there is an aqua park and a large water slide. The entrance to the sea is gradual, and the access for the disabled is arranged. The blue flag is proof of the cleanliness and orderliness of this beach.

BOŠANA BEACH– Pebble beach is located on the northwest side of town, near the marina Kornati, and is 10 minutes easy walk from the center. On this beach there are smaller restaurants – cafes, restaurants and fast food. It is popular among families with small children because of the facilities such as a sandy playground and aqua park, but also because of the gradual access to the sea.
