Park of Nature Telašćica covers the area of 65 square kilometers, 8 km long and wide in the range from 150 m until max 2 km at it' widest part. The bay is well protected from all sides and has always served as the safe harbour. Within it's territory, between the bay and the sea there is the lake of Mir. The depth of the lake is 6-10m, dimensions 650x340. The water is salty and is warmer than the sea for approx.6 grades celsious.

In it's surroundings one can see beautifully gardened and fenced meadows and hills with rich mediterranean vegetation with more than 300 different plant species and equally various fauna. The underwater world is ever more interesting, with more than 250 vegetal and 300 animal species. The most pictoresque among all the islands of Kornati is surely the island of Katina, and the strangest shaped one is probably Taljurić.

BiogradBiograd is very well known tourist center. Moreover it has it's historical importance, too. Namely, it was first mentioned in the written documents as a Croatian coastal town in X and XI century and the crowning place of Croatian kings. Biograd today is situated in the middle of the road between two airports - Zadar and Split, and on the main tourist coastal road as well.
