Excursions Lake of Vrana Park of Nature
Lake of Vrana emerged on the original sunken karst field. It is supplied with fresh water from several smaller wells. It flows into the sea through several subsurface channels. In the narrowest part of the lake a channel is being cut through. The water in the lake is salty. It is very important, both in biological and economical sense. The lake itself is an important habitat of large number of bird species. Therefore the lake of Vrana is being officialy pronounced as the ornithological reservate.

Biograd
 Biograd is very well known tourist center. Moreover it has it's historical importance, too. Namely, it was first mentioned in the written documents as a Croatian coastal town in X and XI century and the crowning place of Croatian kings.
Biograd today is situated in the middle of the road between two airports - Zadar and Split, and on the main tourist coastal road as well. |
