Zadar is a city with long and turbulent history and tradition in tourism. The whole city is a museum in open, full of archaelogical and monumental treasures going back in antique times, middle ages and the age of renaissance. It is an important center of croatian history and scientological heritage. It grew around the roman forum from the 50 a.c., lived and preserved inside it's hard city walls throughout the centuries and still holds a memory of the most ancient history and early croatian written and sacral monuments. It's ancient street and city parts are packed with valuable and well known museums, archives and libraries. It's historical center is simply irresistible for all the admirers and conossieurs of monuments and historical heritage. It is impossible to count all the sightseeings worth visiting, but surely the most important ones are i.e. the chruch of St.Donatus, the symbol of the city itself, Kalelarga, the main street, it' numerous museums ( Archaeogical with more than 80 exibits ) and the Permament Exhibition of the Sacral Art in the Nunnery of St.Mary's with it's priceless treasures gathered for more than 12 centuries ( it's popular name is „Gold and Silver of Zadar“).

Biograd
BiogradBiograd is very well known tourist center. Moreover it has it's historical importance, too. Namely, it was first mentioned in the written documents as a Croatian coastal town in X and XI century and the crowning place of Croatian kings. Biograd today is situated in the middle of the road between two airports - Zadar and Split, and on the main tourist coastal road as well.
